 Using MoneyTracks™

  • Start with your MoneyTracks™ Path. Modules on the path will guide you step-by-step to link your accounts, add important policies and provide helpful personalized insights.

  • You can upload documents by selecting the ‘+’ on the bottom navigation bar of the app. You can also email documents from your phone or computer directly to your MoneyTracks™ account privately and securely. You can find your personalized email address within the MoneyTracks™ app in the Account section.

  • Yes. Through our integration with a secure and established service provider, Plaid (https://plaid.com/), you can quickly and securely sync all your financial accounts with MoneyTracks™ in read-only format.

  • Not only is connecting your accounts secure and easy, it eliminates the need for you to manually upload your bank statements. You’ll always have up-to-date account information as the latest balances are automatically updated for you. Having all of your accounts synced in MoneyTracks™ gives your family and emergency contact visibility in case of emergency.

 My MoneyTracks™ Account

  • You can access your account settings, including passwords, by clicking on the avatar icon in the top left corner of the app. Choose “Security” and from there you can change your password. If you have forgotten your password, you can click ‘Forgot password’ on the sign-in screen and follow instructions to reset it.

  • Currently, you can’t change them within the app at this time. If you need to change either your mobile phone number or email address, please contact the MoneyTracks™ team by emailing Help@LifeMoneyYou.com

  • You can delete your account by tapping your avatar in the upper left corner of your Home screen. Then select Profile from the menu, scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and tap Delete account. Deleting your account will remove all of your data from MoneyTracks™.

If you prefer to only delete some of your data without deleting your entire MoneyTracks™ account, please contact our support team by emailing Help@LifeMoneyYou.com

Note: Simply removing the app from your phone does not deactivate your MoneyTracks™ account. You must delete your MoneyTracks™ account following the instructions above.

 Security

  • We take security and your privacy very seriously. It’s our number one priority to keep your data safe and private. We encourage you to explore our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to understand that we do not sell your data, cannot access your documents, and are committed to bringing you the best possible experience within the app — without compromising your security in any way.

  • You have complete control over who accesses your MoneyTracks™ and when. Unless you’ve designated a collaborator by inviting a spouse/partner, only you will have access to the accounts and documentation you’ve stored in MoneyTracks™. If there is an emergency, your emergency contacts will be granted read-only access, but only after you've granted access or the emergency protocol is followed.

  • We use an established service provider, Plaid, to securely connect to more than 15,000 financial institutions across the U.S. When linking accounts, your credentials are sent directly through Plaid to your financial institution, not our servers, nor are they stored by us in any way. We cannot make any changes to your account and you can revoke our access at any time.

 Emergency Plan

  • Your Emergency Plan grants a trusted friend or loved one read-only access to your MoneyTracks™ account in the event something happens to you. You can designate up to two emergency contacts to your Emergency Plan. If something happens to you, either person can request access in order to help with urgent decisions or resolve matters of your estate. If they request access, we follow a strict protocol to ensure their request is valid, including trying to make contact with you on three separate occasions before granting access. Setting up your Emergency Plan takes less than two minutes and is highly recommended as a way to ensure your loved ones and beneficiaries have access to all of your assets, policies, plans, and other valuable information is discoverable by your loved ones and beneficiaries.

  • You can designate up to two people you trust to get read-only access to all the contents of your MoneyTracks™ should something happen to you. This ensures they can access vital information to make decisions on your behalf or to resolve matters of your estate. This way nothing in your estate goes missing or can’t be found, and ultimately ensures your beneficiaries are properly looked after the way you intended.

  • Generally, an emergency contact should be someone who you trust implicitly. It can be a partner, spouse, family member, closest friend, or even your lawyer or executor of your estate. We recommend you designate two emergency contacts in your Emergency Plan.

  • Yes. It’s easy to manage emergency contacts directly in the app. Navigate to the Emergency Plan, select the person you wish to remove, select the ‘Remove emergency contact’ link, and follow the instructions.

  • Yes. Within the Emergency Plan section of MoneyTracks™, select the person you wish to revoke access, select the ‘Revoke Access’ button and follow the instructions.

 Joint Collaboration

  • A collaborator helps you add or manage documents in your MoneyTracks™ and has access to everything the same way you do. An emergency contact will only get read-only access to your account once you’ve granted it or once the emergency contact protocol has been activated.

  • Yes. You can add your estate attorney as an Emergency Contact in your Emergency Plan. If you wish for them to have full access to your MoneyTracks™, you can also invite them as a collaborator through the Account section of the MoneyTracks™ app.
